Bra Style Guide
Posted by lingerieToday bras come in many different shapes and styles. This guide will hopefully make it easier to identify which style will be more suitable, and what other options are available.
The Angel Bra gives support to 9-13 year olds where the breast tissue has just started growing. The bra is soft and comfortable and non-wired so that the breast tissue is not damaged.
The Balcony Bra holds the breast from underneath the bust with a wider strap positioning. This gives an uplifting appearance and is best worn with a low cut tops.
The Full Cup Bra is ideal for bigger cup sizes and gives comfort and support. This is due to the design as the straps are slightly wider, and are positioned more centrally than other bras to give better uplift and comfort.
The Nursing Bra is non-wired and designed to give maximum support to the breast. The breast tissue is very tender as the breast develops and it is important that the milk ducts are not damaged. The bra can also aid in feeding the baby.
The Minimiser Bra is designed to reduce the bust by up to 2.5cm. The bra has a special wire which moves the breast tissue towards the chest wall and to the side. This bra is best used when wearing tight tops.
The Multi-Way Bra features are its flexability in where you position the straps. They can be strapless, halterneck, crossover, one shoulder and conventional. Due to the silicone edges providing a non slip feature you now have the freedom to wear whatever outfit you want.
The Plunge Bra supports the breasts from the base and sides and gives the appearance of increased cleavage. This bra is used in low cut tops to give a sexier look.
The Push-Up Bra uses booster pads to push the breasts together to give maximum cleavage. Again this bra is used in low cut tops to give a sexier look.
The Seamless Bra is totally seamless for comfort as it moulds to your shape and gives a natural look. The bra warms to your shape and after washing recovers to its natural shape giving an appearance of no visible bra lines.
The Sports Bra is designed to limit breast movement, therefore reducing strain on the ligament of the breast. The bras are supportive and very comfortable.
The Teen Bra is the next step once the girl has had breast tissue for a minimum of two years. The bras are designed to minimise breast damage.
The Three Quater Cup Bra is still as supportive as a Full Cup bra however it is ideal with vest tops.
